本篇练习主要针对备战2013年中考的初三考生进行的专项练习，在做完形填空的这类试题时需要从词汇、语法、语篇3个层面的做分析研究。
词汇方面要做到4点：
1.利用词组中的介词、副词、系动词等确定正确选项：对有些不能确定的词汇按照逻辑思维进行推导，从而得出正确答案。
2.利用固定搭配或习惯用语：英语中有大量的固定搭配，比如动词短语、介词短语等；还有一部分是习惯性用语也要牢记。
3.根据邻近原则，利用词语意义的互相联系，确定选择的依据。
4.根据逻辑关系、句型结构、语句衔接等确定正确答案。
语法方面要从中学所学的句型、时态、固定搭配几个方面着手：要熟练掌握中学所学的一般现在时、现在进行时、现在完成时、一般过去时、过去进行时、过去完成时等9大时态和所学的各种句型，在选择固定搭配时一定要确保时态的统一才可以选出正确答案。
语篇方面就要求通读短文，了解文章所讲的故事，按照正常思维进行推导，结合文章关键词线索进行逻辑分析，从而得出正确答案。
