        　　2. be terrified of sth./ doing sth.意为“对某物/干某事感到恐惧、害怕”。如:  
       
        　　I was terrified of the tiger when I first saw it.

        　　他害怕在课堂上讲英语。
       
        　　注:be terrified比be afraid 的语气更强,害怕的程度更大一些。
