Now, I'll tell you all about the most important festival-- Spring Festival, which usually lasts for 15 days./ , which usually comes in January or February.

Like the Christmas Day in your country, Spring Festival is the most important festival in China because it connects the old year and the new year.

I'd like to introduce to you the grandest and most widely celebrated one, the Spring Festival.

          春节期间人们的主要活动(节前、除夕、节日期间)

Several weeks before the festival, people are already busy making preparations. They go shopping, do a thorough clean-up in the house and put up decorations which are usually in red, the lucky color. People travel all across the country to get together with their family.

On the eve of the festival, the whole family sit around the table and enjoy a delicious feast. Setting off fireworks has also gained considerable popularity among people. The happiest part for children is receiving Lucky money given by the elders to wish them good luck in the new year.

People start preparing for it two weeks before it. For example, we buy red decorations. It is said that decorating your home in red can bring luck for the whole year. On the eve of the festival, all family members get together to celebrate and enjoy a big dinner. People in different areas have different traditions. Mostly in Beijing we eat dumplings and watch TV on the eve. People wear their new clothes and set off fireworks. Most people stay up all night. Children get Lucky money from their parents and relatives. Everyone feels happy and enjoys the festival.

So we do a lot of things to prepare for it. Before the festival, some people go back to their hometown to get reunion with their children and parents while others clean their houses, it is believed that doing the cleaning sweeps away bad luck. People decorate their houses with paper cuts.

On the eve of the festival, family members get together and have big meals. Then they watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV. At midnight, they set off fireworks to welcome the New Year.

During the festival, kids get lucky money from older people. People visit their relatives and friends. They wish each other a happy year and good luck.

          收尾总结 或 就春节与Michael呼应。

Spring Festival really means a lot to all Chinese and it is considered as a big part of Chinese culture.

It's really great fun to celebrate Spring Festival, if you're interested, why not come and see for yourself next year!

I hope that you can come to China during the festival in the future and experience the whole festival and feel the happy atmosphere yourself.

          学生范文:

I'd like to tell you something about the Spring Festival, which is the most important traditional festival in China.

Before the Spring Festival arrives, people pour into the supermarket to buy foods, snacks and decorations. They always decorate their houses with many lucky symbols, such as the Chinese character "Fu". Most of the decorations are red, since people believe this color can make the monster "Nian" afraid and go away. On the eve of the festival, people get together for a big dinner and then make dumplings happily. They enjoy playing games and setting off wonderful fireworks at that time. During the festival, children are usually the happiest, as it's the time to receive Lucky money and eat various tasty foods!

This festival means a lot to all the Chinese and is considered to be a big part of Chinese culture.

          点评:语言生动、蕴含浓厚文化味道、句式变化自然顺畅
