北京中考网：中考英语复习过程中，词汇自然是基础，基础打不好，更不用谈阅读、作文了，现在市面上的词汇书 还是词汇课都是仅仅教如何背单词，而不是教如何用单词或者说单词如何考，为此学而思乐加乐英语名师孙晨皓老师为大家做了一个真正的词汇串讲，给出每个词的 用法和考点，以及相关拓展和辨析。在此为大家呈现的是孙晨皓老师的第五讲：

Arrive 动词：到达，到来，得出
考点1：arrive in/at 加地点，表示到达某地，in为大地点，at为小地点。
考点2：表示某个时间到来，Eg：The great day has arrived. Eg: Dinner-time arrived.
考点3：arrive at 得出，相当于reach，Eg：arrive at an agreement/ a decision/ a conclusion

注意几个到达，后面有宾语时。arrive 后面加at和in，get 后面加to，reach后面不加介词。
Art 名词：艺术，技巧
考点1：当艺术来讲，不可数。Eg: in the field（领域） of art.
考点2：当技巧来讲，不可数。Eg：Her performance displayed great art.

Article 名词：冠词，物品，文章
考点1：当物品来讲，可数。Eg：valuable article，贵重物品
考点2：当文章来讲，可数。Eg：an interesting article on/about education
As 副词，连词：如同，跟。。。一样，当。。。时，像，因为。
考点1：像，按照。Eg：Run As I do. Leave it As it is. 保持原状, 不要动它。
考点2：当..., 的时候 , 一边...一边, 随着 Eg：She sang As she worked. Eg: You will grow wiser as you grow older. Eg：As the time goes by（随着时间的推移）。
考点3：作为，Eg: He worked As a teacher.
考点4：因为，Eg：As you are tired, you had better rest.

As if 仿佛，好像。As long as 只要。
As well 同样，也。As above，如上。
As far as I am concerned，在我看来。As far as I know，据我所知。
Ask 动词：问，请求
考点1：问。Ask sb about sth. Eg: Ask him about the ring you lost. He may have found it .
考点2：请求。Ask sb for sth Eg：Did you ask (your boss) for a pay increase? Ask sb to do sth Eg：I asked James to buy some bread.

You ask too high a price. 你要价太高了。
Asleep 形容词：睡熟的，麻木的，不动的。
考点1：注意，asleep不能做前置定语，只能做后置定语或表语。Eg：The baby was sound asleep.
考点2：短语，fall asleep，入睡。
考点3：麻木的，Eg：My foot is asleep. Eg：The sea is asleep.（风平浪静）

Asleep 表示熟睡的，而sleepy表示困。二者程度不一样，另外sleepy可以作为前置定语，而asleep不能。
Atlantic Ocean 名词：大西洋

Attention 名词：注意，关心
考点1：注意，注意力。Eg：Please pay attention to what I am saying. Eg：She turned her attention to a new problem. 她把注意力转移到一个新问题上.
考点2：关心。Eg：The roof needs attention. 屋顶需要关注一下了。

Autumn 名词：秋季，衰败期
考点1：秋季 Eg：The leaves turn brown in autumn. Eg：in (the) early/late autumn 初秋，晚秋。
考点2: 晚年，衰败期。Eg in the autumn of one's life 在暮年 come to one's autumn

Available 形容词：现成的，有空的，有用的。
考点1：指某物可用或可得到。Eg：Tickets are available. Eg: This was the only available room
考点2：指人有空，Eg：I'm available in the afternoon. 我下午有空. Eg：The Prime Minister was not available for comment. 首相无暇作出评论
avoid 动词：避免，逃离。
考点1：避免某事或做某事，avoid sth/doing sth. Eg: Try to avoid accidents. 尽量防止发生事故. Eg: I just avoided running over the cat.我差一点儿轧着猫.
考点2：固定搭配, avoid sb/sth like the `plague 极力回避, 尽量躲开某人/某事物
Eg: He's been avoiding me like the plague since our quarrel
